Rice University. The Department of Sociology at Rice University, located in Houston, Texas, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin July 2018. Applicants must have a PhD, or PhD requirements fulfilled by November 1, 2018 in sociology or a related field. Areas of specialization are open, but we particularly seek applicants who can teach statistics at the graduate level. Our faculty engage in research pertaining to social inequality and/or culture, and we welcome applicants that will enhance and/or expand this focus.
