Quintin Gorman Jr. is a sociology doctoral student and graduate research assistant in the Racism and Racial Experiences (RARE) workgroup and the Houston Education Research Consortium (HERC). His research interests involve racism, identity, and the military. Specifically, he wants to know how military service constrains the identities of black service members. His research will investigate associations between racial identity and perceptions of patriotism and support for military action among black military members.
Quintin Gorman Jr. earned his B.A. in Sociology and Political Science from McMurry University.
