Kevin Loughran is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Sociology at Rice University. Kevin is an urban sociologist who studies urban development and urban form, with a special focus on urban-environmental relationships, racial inequality, and public space. His research has been published in Sociological Theory, City & Community, Du Bois Review, Environment and Planning A, and several edited collections. Kevin received his Ph.D. in Sociology from Northwestern University in 2017. Previously, he received two M.A. degrees from Columbia University and his B.S. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
