My research interests include analyzing the impact and efficacy of privatization and other large scale reform measures, closing the gap in educational attainment, the intersection of race/social class and issues of equity in STEM education, and research utilization.
Dr. Moon was born in New Jersey, and attended the University of Virginia from 1983-87. She first worked on the Hill in Washington, D.C., then moved to Bloomington Indiana in 1992 where she raised four children and taught middle school mathematics. She earned her PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from IU - Bloomington from 2011-2017. A happy bike commuter, she enjoys outdoor activities such as mountain biking and kayaking.
